Dr. Yu Wu is a professor of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. She was born in Chongqing in 1970. At 1992, she received the Bachelor's degree in engineering automation at Chongqing University. From then, she studied for the Master's degree in engineering automation for two years and directly gained entrance for Doctor's degree. At 1997, she received the Doctor's degree in automation theory and application at Chongqing University.
From 1998, she has been teaching and researching at Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) for 12 years. Now she is a professor and vice-dean of Institute of Computer Science and Technology at CQUPT. Her personal research domain and interests are Web intelligence, data mining, and multimedia computing. She has published over 90 technical papers and 3 books. She has undertaken some national projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (60873079), National Basic Research Program ("973Program") of China (2008CB317111).
