Dr. Feng Tian is an associate professor in Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences where he directs the pen-based user interface research group in Intelligence Engineering Lab. His research interests include interaction techniques and tools in pen-based UI, Multi-modal UI, and other new UI styles. He earned his Ph.D. in Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003, and was working as a visiting scholar in UC. Berkeley in 2009. He has published over 40 papers in HCI field, including ACM CHI, ACM IUI, MobileHCI, etc. He also does cooperation work with Microsoft Research Asia, Nokia Research Lab (Beijing & Palo Alto) and other leading industrial laboratories. His some work on pen-based application tools, have been successfully applied in the Sports and Education fields in China. He was also received the “Research and Technology Service Award” in 2004 by General Administration of Sport of China.
